That is impressive, every MOT a Pass with no advisories. Even the same MOT station.

You can also use form V888 to obtain the full history of your car for a £5 fee.

I did this for my V6 Connoisseur and the XF which showed up all the personal plate changes etc on top of the MOT,s

Having said that I had my request turned down for the Mini Mayfair, using the same form. DVLA said I did not meet the criteria but I've written back asking for a further explanation as to why and will be requesting the same information for my project car, the Connoisseur SE. I like to keep a detailed file on all my cars.

Wedgie has every MOT listed since the first one. A couple of minor advisories along the way, but never had a failure. AX03 OBP

Can never understand why the undertray which was a factory fitted item there for a purpose is listed as an advisory? Many supercars have their complete underside obscured for aerodynamics and I bet their MOTs don't list it as an advisory.

Mine had a couple of fails, due to rear spring breakages and an advisory where I advised the tester to check the front wishbone rear bushes, because I had doubts about them. The first spring, when it was tested just prior to me buying it, the second in May where it snapped on the 300 yards route to the MOT.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

The MOT test is a lottery whether it passes or fails. My current V6 failed on the front discs six years ago, reason "worn". The car had only done 36k but to get the pass I fitted new discs but then transferred them to the missus's 75 diesel which at over 100k was in more need of them although it hadn't failed the test.

Six years later I'm still running the same discs on my V6 and never had a mention.

Last year my XF failed on rear upper arms at 43k costing £760 but after refitting the original arms I got a pass from another Test station.
The XF was booked again for MOT test today but unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the tester attending a funeral. I'm confident it would pass a year after Parks Jaguar Ayr failed it.

Parks Jaguar have refused to refund or negotiate a settlement .

They now seem to of updated the site today in order that it details the MOT location and premises address. I reckon this is most useful.

We have all seen cars that have failed on many items only to pass the next day etc. Now one can tell if the same premises etc delt with the retest and not perhaps some other (possibly dodgy) test centre.

Can also tell if test centre was an independent or a main dealer.

I reckon this all in all is quite beneficial to interested parties.

Hope this helps someone!
I have used this service several times. Brilliant idea.

Let’s not get hung up over no advisories guys it’s not a mark of shame I’d expect most of our cars to get at least one if I’m being honest
