What do you think?
I haven't been on here for a while as I moved to the dark side ( Jaguar S-Type 3.0 ) this was due to the fact my 75 needed a considerable amount of money spent on it and I wasn't able to do the work myself due to health problems, and the S-Type came up at a price I couldn't turn down. The Jag has never felt as solid or as well screwed together as the 75 did although it does drive nice and has loads of poke. Time has come to change again and I've been looking at a couple of ZTs, one is a 54 plate 190 manual and the other is a 135 auto diesel, mileage on the 190 is around 95000 and there is no receipt for the belts, the diesel is around 68000 and has some history, both cars are some distance away from me and I didn't want to make a wasted journey, my question is , how do the ZTs drive comfort wise compared to the 75s, is there much difference as my 75 was probably one of the most comfortable cars I've had although the S-Type isn't a million miles away and the jag feels like it has a bit more room, I would prefer an auto but won't rule out a manual if the right car came along. You might wonder why I haven't mentioned looking at a 75 , the reason is I like the earlier shape but not the angular bumpers on the later and SWMBO has agreed to changing the car but it isn't to be older than what we currently have which is an 03 plate (number plate snob, but don't tell her ) So anybody with experience of 75s , ZTs or S-Types please feel free to comment.

Assuming all the cars are sorted properly, have the rights springs and tyres, the zt is firmer and less comfortable than the 75. The S-type is almost as comfortable as the 75.

I only have experience of the ZT, great on open faster roads, horrible in town, everything crashes and bangs.

There are some 03 plate mk1's around so don't rule out the 75's just yet. ZT's will have a firmer ride but i guess a test drive will be the only way to see if it suits you or not. I am a bit of a diesel fan but i would suggest you get it mapped to 160 if you get one.
