I can’t help thinking that the work done has halved its value.

Someone may like it enough to buy it but even as an entry level car to V8 ownership it’s not for me either.

It reminds my of a Scimitar club member who would buy a very smart, original and useable GTE only to take it apart to modify it and then never run again. He then had the nerve to complain he’d been sold a duff car. Sometimes our interventions can be negative.

It may well drive superb. Anyone fancy going to see it?

I'm all for a bit of modding but I'd have to wonder who might buy that, as the paint job is very personal.

It's currently not my cup of tea, but I can't help but think that if you combined it with a cheap ZT with good panels you could end up with a cheapish V8.

My thoughts exactly.

Each to their own (there's an awful lot of skill in producing paintwork like that), but relatively easily returned to standard if you prefer it ?

I can't figure out the ad.

MOT history check actually isn't too bad, but extension shows valid until 21 Dec on Gov website yet the ad states October.

I don't know anything about the V8 to be honest, and in my ignorance thought only diesels had EGR's but if it's sooting up surely there's an issue. Whilst I love the noise in the video it does appear to be smoking a fair bit?

It's only up the road from me, and I would love to own a V8 but the art work is not my cup of tea either and the running issue could be an expensive fix and render the car un-roadworthy in 6 months if not fixed.

Does anyone have anymore info on 069 please? Is it an SE?

No egr on V8 as far as I know. Perhaps it’s a V8 diesel?

Plenty of petrol engines use EGRs for the same reason diesels do, including Ford Mustangs.

Never had a close enough look at a Rover V8, but I wouldn't be surprised to see an EGR valve under the bonnet, or should that be hood?

£4,300 for a V8 with panels that would make some great wall art.

Just curious, did anyone from here buy it? Ben???

I was really tempted Chris. Like you say, some awesome work has gone into the paintwork but is very much a marmite car.

I've currently got 3 ZT-T's and a ZR. The driveway is big enough for two cars so I'm already pushing my luck really.

One day hopefully.
