Wa hey

I'm home from walking Quizzie and I'm dry

But found out that the local farmer is trying to get a footpath/right of way closed off. They've already chained a gate shut.

Commiserations to the England team, they did their best, better luck next time

The 4x4 is running okay, an electronic switch for Torque-On-Demand on the axle was slightly disconnected and only needed to be pushed back in until it clicked, reported to be in good condition, so it didn’t need to be changed. The brake hoses were all replaced and the vacuum brake pipe was changed for a new one. Parts and labour came to £20. The engine is running okay and not making any funny noises I gave the mechanic an extra £10. He said the vacuum brake pipe had been reassembled wrongly when the cylinder head was changed by the garage.

The next thing is the exhaust has a metal attachment ring which needs to be welded back on. This will stop the exhaust pipe from rattling and we can drive to the coast where the weather is much better

Last night and this morning, torrential rain and chilly.

What’s everyone up to?

Morning all.

Grey, cool but dry at the moment.

Not being a great footy follower can anyone explain how a yellow card is actually any hindrance whatsoever to the team that gets one (unless the player concerned ends up with a red)? As far as I can see it's a bit of pretty coloured card that means effectively nothing in that particular match

Thinking of the Rugby where there's a sin bin which takes the player out of the match which is an actual, immediate hindrance to the team.

Morning all - from a rather dull, cloudy and overcast North Yorkshire, with no sign at all of sunshine.
After seeing the scenes from Wembley of morons "storming" the place last night and then reading this morning of the racial abuse aimed at certain of the team's players - I'm ashamed to be English
