Often wonder about women's minds, "do you think you will be able to trim the ivy on the wall?". Let me think, I can't open my left eye which means I've no depth perception and you want me to climb a ladder and swing an electric hedge trimmer around . . . . can I get back to you on that one

Cool

Morning everyone from scorching hot Cornwall.

I’m able to sleep at night, on top of the quilt with nowt on. Slept over 6 hours last night till my bladder reminded me what time it was.

Changed the sheets, pillowcases and quilt cover this morning and all in the washing machine by 07.30.

Visitors expected this morning so will be getting the housework done.

Morning everyone

4x4 is running okay and yesterday we treated it to a new set of tyres: Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar All Terrain. The Goodrich tyres were 11 years old but I didn’t want to take any more chances. Today the weather is 20C which is chilly for us so we are packing for a trip to the coast where it is warmer.

Hopefully everyone is coping with the heat wave and keeping an eye on their elders?

Had a run in with the law a couple of days ago. I was pulled over by a city motorcycle cop for crossing a single white line. He said “that’s 10,000 fine (£67) and court tomorrow”. In reply, I said “I don’t want to go to court - let’s sort this out here and now”..... the usual nonsense. He wanted a bribe.

Thankfully it cooled down a lot here yesterday evening, stifling hot during the day. Eye's not so bad his morning, uncomfortable but least its not swollen shut again!

That's a vision I don't really want planted in my mind

Its a lot cooler here today, light cloud blocking the sun and a gentle breeze. Supposed to hover around 20 degrees.

Rev.

LOL I've never liked Summer since I was a kid, I hate having cream rubbed into my skin unless it's done by a nubile young lass wi nowt on I see no joy in sweating yer dangly bits off just doing nowt I love Autumn & Spring but the other two seasons can go & do one

I had to get the welder out this morning as the bottom hinge on the driveway gates broke, We have to reverse the top hinges here to stop the metal thieves just lifting them off here as they'll weigh em in for scrap which means the bottom hinge takes all the strain of these heavy gates. Jobs a good un now but I'm frazzled & sun burnt.

It’s sweltering here. Outside temperature is hitting 30.5 degrees.

Visitors been and gone and taken 10 pots of strawberry plants.
