Not a lot Phil. Once I've finished washing machine duties (Ging's uniform, she was working last night) need to get some shopping then make a batch of Pandesal, Filipino bread rolls, for Ging to take to friends in the Lake District tomorrow. Actually looking at that its a pretty full day!

All of Ging's friends are nuts about my Pandesal, so much so that Ging got 20 kilo bags of flour online! Pandesal is similar to bread rolls but they are sweeter, more suited to jam than cheese, kinda halfway between bread and brioche.
Washing done, hanging back going out, in theory the rain is supposed to stop in the next hour or so. |

Afternoon all, It's gone muggy here, I've just mowed the lawns & my t-shirt is soaked
After emptying some 30ltr buckets of taters I've put the soil back in the buckets with some bone meal & covered it in chop & drop (lawn cuttings) ready for next year. Best spuds this year by far are the 'Organic Pink Gypsy' bootiful eating potatoes steamed with just butter & seasoning QUOTE=stevestrat;2893673]All of Ging's friends are nuts about my Pandesal, so much so that Ging got 20 kilo bags of flour online! Have you made naan bread Steve?

Never had any inkling to make naans Ian, you can get them anywhere whereas you can't buy Pandesal apart from maybe a few specialist Filipino food shops and they'll be processed to bugry to give them an extended shelf life.
Back to heavy drizzle/light rain again. |
