Sun keeps coming and going here. So much for Ging staying one night in the Lakes, she's away to bleedin' Cornwall with her Windemere friends.

Cool

Nice easy day today.

Sorted out a few pots in the garden. Yet another 10 pots of new strawberry cuttings done.
Had walk up to the post box to send the last of the club orders off. Club shop closed now till the 12th.

Banana already for her run up to London tomorrow.

Evening all, had a break from swimming today. Good weather, sunny and 28C. Because of the heat at the coast, except for wooden louvred shutters, there is no glass in the windows and everything is open to the elements. At the top of the wall facing the sea, 3 large air bricks have been removed and grills have been put in their place to stop mice, squirrels, bats and other wildlife from getting in. The idea behind this is to improve ventilation.

Last night, I watched “Custer of the West” on YouTube, full movie and free.

Evening Phil, I have the windows open throughout the year even the bedroom windows through Winter, I think I've got a dodgy thermostat I like a breeze coming in I usually get kicked out & go into the back bedroom when she finds out the windows are open

I've been watching a lot of old films lately like Sherlock Holmes on the free 'Feature Film' youtube channel, They've got all the old classic Westerns, Detectives,Sci-Fi & everything in between on there for nowt

Evening all, chilling with a pint of blackcurrant cordial (I've already called in at the pub and had two bitter shandies)

UNEXPECTED ITEM IN BAGGING AREA!

I always end up with an assistant rescuing me because the self service checkout has got upset about something.

Trying hard to rain here.

.
Went into Wilkinsons today and thought there must be only one checkout open because of the long queue. But no, it was because all the others had been converted to self-service and card payment only. THAT says it all!!

Morning all, morning Ian I have downloaded the d app dailymotion to add to my viewing, thank you for that. There is a certain appeal about watching the old classics. Last night I watched an episode from Dixon of Dock Green. In those days, how did people manage without the internet or computers, they had to.

Today it’s sunny and 28C, so no complaints.

Morning all, The sun is up & hot already, Doesn't look like it's going to last according to the weather forecast.

It was like that the last time I was in Wilko's in Bolton, Lots of people complaining about them doing that, Same with our local small ASDA store, they've taken all but one checkout out & replaced them with self-service/card only, Cash still rules here in this neck o the woods & the older people wont use a card.
