Expletive insert here!

They're all running and m.o.It'd !?

Add another expletive here...

I bet your local garage loves you, just m.o.t. bills alone.

And I thought the guy i met in Llandrindod Wells looking for a boot rubber seal had a lot of Rovers - 5 or 6 I think.

Can somebody enlighten me please - my 75 appears to be a poverty model judging by the fact it only has electric Windows up front (my daughters first time in the car in the back - Dad, wheres the window button? There isn't one, you turn that handle...)

Cassette player even though there's a button with CD on it but no CD player.

Does it mean that even though there's a AC button there's no aircon ?

Even without all the extra's it is STILL a 75! With airco btw. Something to be proud of. And, you can add extra original luxury easy. And I love the fact that I have a cassette player in my 75, back to the 80's. Sure there is no CD changed in the back of dashboard closet? Be proud!

Now, such a great list asks for images...

Wow! That's a low mileage one. Was it a "one lady owner who only drove it Sunday afternoons" ;-) My '77 'S' had done 109,004 when I purchased it in 1987 and is about to reach 151k.

Luckily I've still got all my cassettes from the 80's & 90'e although I've out grown a lot of them!

My 75 is Moonstone greens also - I love it, it's a classy colour.

I'm not bothered at all that my 75 is a base model with cloth interior etc.

I love the way she drives, the comfort and my daughter loves the way she glides.

Oh my daughter, most kids would hide their faces rather than be seen "in Dads old car" but my daughter loves it and prefers to go anywhere in it than my wife's newer daily.

No - I bought it in 1987 (10 years old) with 9,000 on the clock - it was advertised in the Club's magazine, and when I rang up it had been sold by the garage. However, a couple of weeks later a car matching the description turned up in my office car park (amongst 600 others!). I got the commissionaire to trace the owner for me, who said that he had bought it on a whim when out shopping, and that if his son wanted to learn to drive (fat chance) he would be selling it in a few months. I didn't know or ask the price - just said I would buy it, and 4 months later I did. It had been ziebarted from new, and is still totally original (rare for the later Spanish steel versions!).

The proverbial one lady owner one is actually the 2002 Rover 45 Spirit, bought last year. She decide to give up driving aged 100 when she clipped the gatepost. I am unsure as to whether to have it repaired or leave it as a badge of honour. Its very full history even has bills for each time the local Rover dealer had to come out to start it (flat battery through lack of use). Even they must have got fed up as a hard-wired battery conditioner was eventually fitted in the glovebox!

There is a rarity or story to several of the others, but that is for another time. Always happy to welcome interested parties to view and chat.

Same year I bought mine

I was always led to believe that it was poor rotation of stock and supplies from Russia (ex-Fiat deal) via Italy....via others....who knows!
