Morning all.

Back from another weekend up North.

Had decent weather on Saturday and lovely on Sunday.

Saturday met up with our lads who'd been plunging into the water near Bowlees Visitors Centre and had a meal at the High Force Hotel and took a walk up to the waterfall itself. Impressive . Quizzie, of course, had to go for a swim along the way .

On Sunday just managed to escape a clothes shopping trip for stuff for our niece's wedding in October. Took Oliver to the park and Quizzie along the river instead. A much better way to spend the afternoon sunshine than clothes shopping .

We're on a roll with online bargains lately, Step ladders t'other week now an Irish bread maker! It was advertised as a Murphy Richards bread maker & nobody bid on it except me I bid 5 quid & won it

It was local to me so went & picked it up. The lady said she'd bought it out of boredom in the lock down this February & only used it once then got fed up
I'll be making some gluten free bread for our daughter amongst other bread recipes & It should be a lot less cleaning up afterwards.

Hi Ian.

Enjoy the bread maker .

It gives you control over what goes into your bread. Be prepared to "play" with some of the recipes and if our's is anything to go by the lack of additives means that the bread doesn't last as long but it rarely gets chance to go stale anyway .

Mmmmmmm

Cheers Andy, I'm looking forward to it, I'm going to try lots of recipes for bread, Got Nigella seeds in store for naan breads & I've got tons of ripe tomato varieties in the greenhouses so I'm just drying a load of Roma plum tomatoes on trays in the oven for "Sun dried" tomatoes in olive oil, garlic, dried seasoning Got lots of jars in the garage to put them in.

Boy has it gone hot & muggy here, No direct sunlight because of cloud cover but I'm wet through with sweat. Not a good idea to have the oven on for 5-6 hours drying tomatoes on a hot day like this

Hi Ian,

When we moved from London 2 years ago, I gave away 2 step ladders and a long ladder to a neighbour and around that time, I bought a Kenwood bread maker on eBay for £35, hardly used and brought it out to Kenya. We have used it for making bread and banana cake. You have a great deal, the price you paid is hard to beat.

Morning all, another early start, and it’s headlights on to drive to work, don’t like it when Summer is fading…

On the plus side, you don't have to get up so early to photograph the sunrise
