I'd sell you some bird food but thanks to Ging's ordering "error" I've only got 50+ kilos left

I'm having bother with my hands and wrists every day, last time I spoke to the GP (a while ago) he organised an xray which didn't show anything so he doesn't think its arthritis, never said what it might be though Considering phoning the surgery again, they vary from uncomfortable to downright painful, usually get worse as the day goes on.

Attacked the ivy today but doing it in instalments, swinging the hedge trimmer around goes for my hands and wrists. Did what I can get to from the ground, still to do what needs the ladder to reach.

Visited York yesterday. The only Rover I saw, apart from mine, was a 75 driven by a gentleman wearing a jacket and tie. I think that one should always dress well when driving one's Rover.

It occurred to me that the noise one hears in one's Rover is really Elgar, the driver's handbook is like Shakespeare's collected works, one does not drive a Rover - one takes the helm of HMS Victory, the interior is like the House of Lords and the view out is looking upon green and pleasant lands and clouded hills or Downing Street, one does not get into a Rover - one climbs aboard. M.

Weird tea tonight! There was enough roast beef left over from a small joint for the missus & daughter with mash spuds,carrots/swede mash & Brussels sprouts & I got a frozen bag of what I thought was beef Stroganoff out of the freezer but turned out to be beef curry so I had that with mash,carrot/swede mash & Brussels sprouts

You're in luck. I'm off to work and then back home this morning so hopefully you'll stay dry

P.s. Back again next Tuesday

Morning all

Morning everyone

Superb photos Jeff and all keepers. The last photo is particularly appealing ....

Several years ago before our aches and pains, we were asked to crew the lifeboat rescue boat on Lake Naivasha in Kenya. A high speed chase boat and we had to pull people out of the water after they had been capsized and fallen in. All were learning to sail in training dinghies on the Lake. A beautiful lake well known for the Flying Boat history and Hippos.

I suspect your skills and know could be brought to task if you offered yourself to work as a volunteer crew man for the RNLI? Just a thought .....

Please pass on our best to Ros and have a great day.

Morning all.

It dull, dreary and damp here.

Outside jobs on hold, I'm sure SWMBO will find "a few little jobs" to do indoors
