My daughter and son have both graduated in engineering and both entered employment in engineering immediately. I am trying to convince them that they should start thinking about funding my hobbies but quite unsuccessfully at the moment. I think I need to work on my influencing skills.

I see the forum is quite free from politics these days which I feel is conduce to a more friendly atmosphere.
Hi Maninder,

It’s great to hear your diabetes and eye health is being monitored and followed up 6 monthly. What good news your daughter and son graduated and found engineering jobs straight away, you must feel proud

Yesterday I visited the GP to chase up my referral and there was a long queue of people all ages waiting to have their flu jab. I will have mine next week.

Your right about those political posts. I choose the other option of not visiting them at all.

A few days ago, I ordered a refurbished phone in excellent condition and when it arrived I have to say I was disappointed to find the corners of its casing had been damaged by pitting and teeth marks. I have been in contact with the company who supplied the phone and they have promised a no quibble refund.

How strange the phone had been chewed. I am visualising it’s previous owner having chewed their finger/toe nails off, then turned on the phone during a period of stress.

Disappointed the phone company had not picked up on it before sending the phone out, guessing poor quality control.

Nice day here with the sun shining and not cold out.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Sushi and lasagne . . . . international cuisine

I'm having a big problem with food just now, absolutely nothing interests me, nothing substantial anyway. Couple of slices of toast in the morning, evening . . . . maybe a toast again, porridge, frequently nothing, I have no appetite.

Cool

Good morning everyone.

It’s a foggy start to the day.

Another cracking day out yesterday. And today we are off to the Rattler farm.

Morning all.

Pretty much a copy of yesterday, grey, dry and feels quite mild at 10 degrees.

Off to help a good mate out with some garden clearing.

Really I'm going so Quizzie can go swimming in the canal at the bottom of his garden .

She absolutely loves it but sort of......stinks...... when she gets out .

The things we put up with for the love, loyalty and companionship of a dog .

Morning, sunny but rather parky bordering on bleedin' cold here.
