Default Mount

You could buy a secondhand Mondeo one from 'Mondeo Spares' on e bay for an offer of £18. A little fettling needed and job done. better designed than the Rover item. If you don't fancy that then I believe that JULES has some.

Take a look here - just a straight replacement without the modifications needed with the mondeo part. Probably worth the extra cost.

Oops - just noticed it is for the petrol model and not reccomended for the diesel - sorry !

Agree with Wuzerks post above the mk3 mondeo mount is the way i would go,cheaper and more durable than the oem mount, simple to modify and fit you really cant go wrong.

BUT, is it acceptable in terms of noise / vibration from the engine being suppressed?

To be honest Zeb i cannot tell the difference it really is that good and i am comparing it to the perfect oem one on my previous 75 cdti saloon.

I converted a new mondeo unit for £65. I would have looked at this if I had seen it, but would worry about it been too rigid. The vibration on mine is 10 time better, and only vibrates, when cold at 750RPM-and then only on the steering.
Nothing I cant live with now,

Keep us updated.
