Please check the statement compatability program on your computer as i'm not sure these 2 statements are in fact compatable...

See you Sunday....

Could I just check this is OK with you all? - obviously Rory (the Rover) and the trailer to take up quite a bit of space ( and just so you are forewarned, I am useless at reversing with the trailer on the back)

I should mention that I do not actually drive the Golf, that pleasure goes to my daughters partner James who is the only person I know who can get into the racing seat. Rory an I just get the job of towing it between events and hopefully keeping it running when we get there

Hi John, I'm sorry to say that you won't be able to bring your trailer into the Flixton museum compound. The area is obviously highly hazardous with multiple parked aircraft exhibits and 60 odd cars all taking up the limited space available. Not to mention the Club's public liability insurance issues on a policy designed specifically for static car displays alone.

Sorry if that puts a spanner in the works, but it just won't be possible I'm afraid.

Hi Steve, that would be fine. The meet doesn't finish til 5pm so you'd have plenty of time. Hope you can make it.

Thanks for the reply Paul - that is disapointing news - but I do fully understand your position and its much better to find out before I get there

Unfortunately this means I probably will not be able to attend this time as it is a 320 mile round trip for me and I do not really want to do it twice!

I thought about dropping the trailer off somewhere on the way and then collecting it later - but that would mean I would spend the whole day worrying that some kind person might decide to pinch it.

So never mind - there is always a next time, but to all of you attending I hope the weather does not put a dampener on things and that you all enjoy a great event

The Venue has a public car park, I see no reason why the trailer couldn't be left unhitched there and possibly ask if a staff car be placed in front of it.
Just a thought, would be a shame to miss the meet

The Bucks inn sits at the entrance to the museum with large car parks,
You could ring Phillip on 01986 892382 worth a try seems a shame to come that far with out attending.
