Would you buy this car
I have been looking for a mk 1 diesel tourer in dark blue with a sandstone leather interior - and there do not seem that many good ones around.
I saw this one on AutoTrader a while ago and was put off by the milage - but I keep coming back to it and they have just dropped the price. I have not been to look at it - but would be interested to know if any member has, or has any information about its history (or the garage for that matter) What do you think ? http://www4.autotrader.co.uk/classif...1136413716175/

The mileage doesn't put me off. I'm driving a 190 with 130k on the clock and it still feels great and goes well. I've had a 306 turbo which had 128k on the clock when I bought it and that was fine too. I'd say 2100 may be slightly high for the age though. My uncle bought a 75 cdt saloon for a lot less than that with lower miles.

Car looks ok and has a full service History, my Cdti has 90,000 on the clock and runs like a dream. I spoke to Taxi driver here a while back and he told me he had over 400,000 miles on his cdti when he sold it, so mileage should be no problem if the car has been looked after.

Nice car, mileage certainly shouldn't be putting you off, as the saying goes, not even run in yet.

Service history more important than the mileage.
My CDT has over 180k and the engine is smooth as anything. At 108k would be more concerned as to whether it has had the clutch replaced yet and the other usual diesel stuff, such as the MAF etc. Seems a tad over-priced at £2200. It is a 116BHP model, if you look at the Performance & Economy tab it confirms that. The CDTi was 135BHP and that was later. Of course many members on here can now up it to 135 for you for not a lot of money.
