Like Mike, I bought mine on April Fools' Day, but in 2005, just a week before MGR belly-up.
But surely the longest owned 75 or ZT would be either the long wheelbase version from MGR, or a limo stretched by someone like Coleman Milne? (Ok, say it, "Smart **se") Malcolm |

Owned since 18/5/05. First 75 but second Rover. Still the best car I have owned.

Well, I can safely say that I'm no threat to the current leader (Paul G) but I would like to say that after buying my ZT at the end of August this year and recieving ownership on 1st September 2006, I'm one happy owner and like all those on here I certainly have not found a better car yet (and I doubt I ever will)

Bought my first one in Sept 00: X817BCF CDT Club SE saloon in Copperleaf
Traded for PN52DUY in Oct 02 CDT Conn SE Tourer in Copperleaf. Sadly written off only 11months later...sob.. Replaced with YP53WBO CDTi Conn SE Tourer in Odyssey blue (thankyou mr insurance company for being so uncooperative). Every time I am even tempted to replace it (still hark after a new XJ6 V6 diesel...), I just go and add another toy or two, which keeps me in check and is probably the most cost effective thing to do. Mrs P says I can't get a new car until a) the mortgage is paid off and b) I get a job closer to home, rather than 90 miles away. I just can't see her reasoning |

My father in law has just PX'd his X type 3.0 SE AWD for another Jag with air suspension not sure which one it is he never keeps them very long this one will be his 10th I think in about 20 years
I am always horrified at the losses he makes on the old ones we are talking many many thousands of pounds here every time He still has he first XJS in his garage as it is not even worth anything as scrap that he paid a small mortgage for in 1987 John maybe we need a new thread Shortest owned 75/ZT ? |
