Default Powerflex diesel engine mount

Well i fitted my Powerflex diesel engine mount tonight. I've driven 1 mile and can already report the following.....

Pros
more positive gear change....feels more precise
braking feels better
feels better under acceleration
will last a lifetime

Cons
Slightly and i mean slightly more vibration at idle

All in all im very impressed. As one of the guys who started the hunt for alternatives i.e. the mondeo mount, etc i think this is the perfect solution especially as people are reporting that oem mounts are lasting less than 12 months.

I paid 24 squid for mine....money very well spent....improves the feel of the car so much.

Regards
Graham

Am I right in assuming these are softer than the yellow ones and therefor would probably be a better option for the petrol models also

I believe that's the idea so yeh they would be compatible with the petrol too especially if you want to keep vibration to a minimum

Fitted a Mondeo Mount recently, but will be looking at doing this next... Kept my old mount in anticipation of the Powerflex being released...

The mondeo mount is great and was a good stop gap and certainly preferable to paying £90 for an OEM one but this new solution just feels spot on to me, very pleased powerflex made the effort to evolve their first attempt
