Bargin Oil
Just saw halfords has Castrol Magnatec 5W30 Oil 4 Litre for £17.50, time to stock up if this is what you use. (sorry if someones already posted about this.)

I think I remember there was an issue with Magnatec in the 1.8 K-Series !
A lot of people complained of a noise at higher revs. I tend to use Mobil 1 or Valvolene. |

The correct spec for my ZTT 2.5 V6 is 10w/40 so not much use to me!!

I have reserved 2 x 4ltr bottles but dont have to get, when you do a search for best oil you get so many different opinions. Some are saying 10-40 and that the 0-to whatever spec oils are too thin so if there is a definitive answer I`ll buy that for my 1st oil change since I`ve had the Rover (I do very low miles) I know I`m going to get shouted at by the every 6 months no matter what milage brigade now LOL.

I note that Halfords are also selling the Castrol Magnatec 10W40 A3 B4 Oil 4 Litre this should be ok for the cars or am i completely wrong what would be your opinions if any this is a very good price for a supposed quality oil Arctic.

Im just about to drop the magnatec out of my engine as it looks like its giving it realy nasty valve rattle. only done 2000 miles since it went in and the oil is still clean but its got to go!!
