kV6 Help needed!!

Dear All,

I have replaced my heads after a timing belt slip and am putting the engine back together. However there are a couple of items where I am not sure where they go.

1. The first pic shows show washer type items, does anyone know where they go, is it the alternator?

2. Second pic is of part of the loom, the two plugs circled in blue plug into the driver's side of the plastic inlet manifold. The red circled plugs comes of the same loom but I can't see where it goes, can anyone point me in the right direction.

top 2 look like vis motors other could be cam sensor. if you get me the wire colours i will look it up

I have a feeling it is for cruse control if you have it if not its spare not 100% as am a bit tied tonight but can double check tomorrow few pics below which may help or not

Cruise control is on the passenger side, this plug is something to do with the drivers side, been trawling through the electrical connector manual, if you could check tomorrow, could you check the oil pressure switch plug?

When I striped out Nigel's V6 it had cruise control, the feed to the pump was contained within the driver's side front londitudinal member main wiring harness. If I remember colours were green and brown, feed comes from the CC ECU and not the engine harness.

I have a fully dressed engine with loom intact, will post some pix tomorrow. I think the blue circirled connector is the oil pressure or crankshaft sensor, pix will help you.

Having looked at this again it could be one the these two Throttle postion sensor wiring plug which is mounted on the sdie of the throttle body or engine coolant temperature sensor next to the thermostat housing.

I doubt it would reach the cranckshaft postion sensor which is mounted at the front of the transmission bellhousing.

At least we are eliminating them one at a time someone will ID it for sure of that i have no doubt Arctic.

Correct, they push into the rubber grommets that secure the acoustic cover.

The two four pin connectors appear to be for the VIS motors ( the one with the grey insert is the top ( power) one.

The last plug is a little tricky as its dark outside so i cannot double check. I would suggest it is the connector to the power steering sensor. the sensor was deleted quite early on in production but the loom was left in place .

Failing that the traction control unit is on the bulkhead at the drivers side
