Rover 75 leather steering wheel wanted
Hello everyone - I am new to the forum. I have just bought a near-mint Wedgewood Blue 1999 Connoisseur which I have currently restoring to as new condition. The only thing that lets it down is the steering wheel, which is worn on one part of the rim. So I'm wondering if anyone has got an *all leather* smokestone grey wheel, preferably with cruise controls (but not essential). I am told that many folk upgrade to the wood wheels, which I'm not so keen on, so if anyone has an excellent leather item, please email me! Many thanks, David

David, don't worry about which switches any wheel will have, it's so easy to transfer yours over, cutting out a bit of the backplate to accomodate the cruise controls, or do as I did, and swap backplates.
PS Sorry, forgetting my manners - welcome to the forum!! malcolm Last edited by baxlin; 23rd November 2007 at 11:40.. Reason: manners |

Methinks I know that car Did you get home ok? I have moved the thread to the wants section, chances are a few members will have their pre wood wheels available. |

David
I have a smokestone one that I took off my 53 plater sitting in the shed, it does not have a back plate as I used that when I transferred to a new wooden wheel. I can't remember the condition but I will have a look tonight. Stubie |

yes thanks Keith - and thanks for all your great help and advice. For other posters, Keith gave my car it's PDI Testbook check last night, as Rover forgot to do it back in 1999! It's a great forum - all I want to know is how do I join the club?

Yep second one I have seen not set up for any specific country and therefore never having had any dealer options set other than the defaults!
