Default Bi-xenon upgrade with CCFL halos as sidelights

This is a set I done about a week ago now. I was asked to do a bi-xenon upgrade set with halo rings to work as sidelights, and also with LED foglights with DRL halo rings

Here's some pics of the DRLs installation on my own project v6 I'm currently trying to get back on the road.

Default 3 sets of black edition bi-xenon headlights

Here's some pics of 3 x black edition bi-xenon headlights I made last month, all 3 with switch back white & amber halo ring daytime running lights. These were all set up so that the white halo rings switch on automatically with the ignition (ignition live), and they switch to flashing amber when an indicator is applied

all three sets upgraded to 4 x 6000k xenon dipped beam and 2 x xenon main beam and LED sidelights

Default Chris' Bi-xenon Headlights Again

Chris popped by again earlier in the year to have a couple changes made to the set up of his headlights and also to have some even better upgraded larger green halo rings fitted.

Chris asked if it would be possible to add another pair of halo rings in white to run as sidelights, in addition to the 4 x green halo rings and 2 x amber halo rings he already had. In order to do this, I had to make a few changes in order to get a total of 8 halo rings to fit, therefore to make this happen I replaced all four green halo rings for larger 90mm ones, so that smaller halo rings could be fitted inside them for the indicator and sidelights

His new set up now consists of 4 x green halo rings, with a smaller amber halo ring fitted inside the green halo ring on each outer projector (for the indicator function), and a smaller white halo ring fitted inside the green halo ring on each inner projector to run as the sidelights.

The way they now work is, when the ignition is switched on the 4 x green halo rings turn on automatically. Chris still has the option to switch between having 4 x green halo rings on across all projectors or just 2 x green halo rings on just on the outer projectors. When an indicator is applied, the green halo rings on that side automatically switch off whilst the amber halo ring flashes. Once the indicator is switched off, the green halo ring stops flashing and after a couple of seconds the green halo rings switch back on.

When the sidelights are switched on the Green halo rings automatically switch off. The amber halo rings still work with the indicators.

When the dipped beams are switched on all 4 xenon projectors switch on in dipped beam mode. The white halo ring still works as the sidelight and the amber halos still flash with the indicators.

When the high beam is applied, the new inner bi-xenon projectors switch to high beam mode, whilst the factory dipped beam projectors remain on

This was the outcome

Default Bi-xenon quad xenon dipped beam upgrades with white, amber and blue halo rings

A good friend of mine local to me here had been interested in a set of my halo ring headlights for quite some time, and finally went for a set a couple months back. However he wanted to go for something a little different. The set up requirement was that there be 3 halo ring colours, white for DRL use, amber to work with the indicators and blue for show use.

Not a problem I said ... well after hours and hours of work I was able to come up with this. 2 sets of halo rings fitted to each projector, a large white + amber switch back halo ring with a blue halo ring fitted inside it.

Blue + White

White

Amber

Blue

Here's how they look fitted.

These have been set up so that when the car is unlocked, the blue halo rings switch on. Looks pretty cool when you're walking up to your car in a car park

When the ignition is switched on the blue halo rings switch off and the white halo rings switch on as the daytime running lights. The amber halo rings flash whenever the indicators are applied, and the while halo rings for that side switch off whilst the amber halo rings flash with the indicator.

There are two switches inside the car to control the halo rings. One switch switches the power source from ignition live to permanent live, and the other switch switches the colour of the halo rings from white to blue. This so that at shows the halo rings can be left switched on

Default Another bi-xenon quad projector upgrade + DRL Fog Lights

Here's another black edition bi-xenon quad projector headlight set I done + also a set of LED DRL fog lights.

The headlights were fitted with white/amber switch back halo rings as DRLs and indicators.

The LED fog lights with built in DRL Halo rings were installed to run as white DRLs only.

Quad xenon projectors in dipped beam mode = 100% more light output in dipped beam mode.

Xenon High Beam

The Halo rings are set up to auto dim by 50% when the sidelights are switch on, as the halo rings are too bright to be at full brightness at night. This is a standard feature on all of my DRL installations
