Default Flickering oil can on 2.0 derv

I asked the question a while ago but I can’t fond the post my tourer when I put my foot down on the motorway ect the oil can light flickers a slight little Rev will take it off. Normally after accelerating when you lift off it comes on.what would this be?

Low oil

I assume you've checked that and its OK?

Yes oil level is okay and no loss of power at all

I would if the level is up to the mark, replace the oil pressure switch . If it still comes on get the actual pressure checked with a gauge.

I had a problem with an oil light going out or taking an exceptionally long time to go out after an oil change on a Volvo v70 diesel, I used a WIX brand filter a make I had never used before, this was promptly changed for a Bosch and the problem never reoccured .
