Default winscreen washer not working

ive taken the bottle out /disconnected the pump and level sensor as they were both blocked with debris - both were working before i dosconnected them
ive cleaned the bottle out and refilled the bottle reconnected the pummp and the sensor -with ignition on the sensor said level low but the pump did not work- the woipers worked though
turned the ignition off the level sensor is not dispaying a problem but the pump still does not work - ive checked the fuses - all ok

Has anyone had the same experience and can advise a solution please

poor connection between wiring harness and pump?
Get a multi meter or a bulb with wire and connect to wiring harness where it fits onto pump, see if you have 12v there when you activate the control on the steering column.
Let us know how you get on as your answer will hopefully help diagnose the problem.
