Default Exhaust has a major leak of Exhaust gases Rear- MOT failed

Hi guys,

this morning I failed the MOT for various major defects and one of this is an Exhaust major leak of exhaust gases rear... When I drive I hear a strange noise under the car and a loss of power , I just changed an injector and all the valves.. the engine is Ok.. what do I need to buy for exhaust repair?

Thanks

Matt

If the leak really is major, I would question whether there is any point in trying to repair it as the repair is unlikely to last.

I would suggest taking a look before deciding on what to do.

Normally repairs are carried out using exhaust putty, exhaust band and maybe a metal band with clamp if necessary.

The part you need will depend on what part is leaking
With the engine running try to get under the car and you should be able to hear and then see where the leak is.

I would expect item 8 or 10 but if you go to a decent garage they may be able to fit a 3rd party system and just replace some of it, sorry I dont know if 3rd party items will be one unit as item 8. I doubt it is item 1 but you will need to check
