Keith

He bought it from the auctions him self for only £725 so with that in mind, and the recession, will most likley let it go for cost. I have a friend of mine with his own rover garage, he has low loaders ready to go for the Longbridge operation. His number is here, he is awaiting my call to ship out the Longbridge cars when we get the green light.

This S reg find is a gem, on top of that find, depending how you look at it mate, but like you say a S is a S and they aren't making any more. I will looking to save the wedgewood blue one by the end of next week and then the Longbridge ones, Atherstone Rover ask for Chris let him know, you know me from the club (helps with the costs down low) 01827 713169 and tell him your in the club mate.

In regard to the engine, i am not a mechanic so I could be wrong about the gasket and it has not got that fault,I must say when we reved it it did sound good , The unique-ness is what worth saving on these pre-launch cars.

I hope this helps, and i hope Keith you do secure it at least thats one S reg in the club, i will do my damndest to secure the wedge wood next mate.

I have checked the number plate bit no change to change back as you have bought a car from a person who has traded it in and so you can change because its not your name, I have had that confirmed by the DVLA on friday .

MG.

Ok I typed the above as you were typing the other info
So definitely a trailer job then.
I wonder if it was driven down from Scotland and lack of preperation/care before that trip left the engine in the state it is in now.

A shame.

May be, but the engine sounded good, but no water in the rad?? i suppose there may be a explanation but caution sometimes is good. I can get the aborgine steering wheel the car S751 LJW has got a belter on it and i was going to pop in and get that and still can if you get this beast.

I just get it for you....

Did you look at the oil on the dipstick was that also mucky?
Battery flat suggests nav comp is stuffed or will soon be stuffed if it continues to go flat

Was the water in the boot enough to be in the Radio and TV tuner?

Any dents in the sills?

no oil on dip stick only some small cream fluff on the cap but not on the water cap just the engine oil cap.The water was not near the satnav system to high for that, most of the water was in the spare wheel section. The battery, was being charged by one of the staff(some guy who worked for them)with one of those little walk round boosters.

I only saw a teaspoon of cream on the oil cap, but not on the dip stick, it was dirty though, but don't forget it had not been serviced since 15 thou ago.

The panels were not dented/kinked when we were walking past it , but we did have limited view points due to the other cars on the pitch.

MG.

S751 LJW WAS SCRAPPED THROUGH THE £2000 SCHEME, BAD NEWS MATE.

The radio and TV tuner are in the spare wheel well behind the black cover at the back.

ok I have emailed the seller asking if he can deliver no harm in trying as the car is not taxed now so I would not expect anyone to drive it here as there is no point wasting money on tax and insurance at this stage.

It looks like the tax was surrendered on 27/07/2009

I asked whether it was driven or transported from the auction house.
I suggested he bail out the boot asap although if there is as much in there as you say then the damage is already done.

If I buy it I will have to sell this, and I don't really want to
