Default Knobs (the gear kind)

Is it possible to fit the gear knob from an Automatic 75 into the Manual version.

Is it a straight swap or are the fittings on the gearlever completely different ?

Both mine are autos so not able to see the top I the gear stick.
The top of the auto knob is hollow once you have taken the interlock shaft out of it. Maybe the "shaftless" head could be fastened in some manner to the manual selector.

You can do anything with enough determination (and a tube of epoxy).

Thanks for the feedback - it was probably a daft question, but I want a walnut gear knob for my connie (which seem to be considerably rarer than hens teeth) and a I saw this on e-bay and just wondered if I might be able to get it to fit.

As a second option - what do you think to this one ?

Try looking up BMW walnut knobs too. The gate index will be wrong on the ones with it on but there's more choice.

I have just replaced my BMW auto walnut one as I've just got a brand new rover walnut/chrome one cheap. She has a couple of marks on but yours for £25 incl. Postage. I was going to dye it Sandstone as a lil project.
But I'd stick to a proper manual one tbh.

Regards. Steve.
