Life after MG Rover.?
I will be keeping hold of my car for another 2 to 3 years yet before i change,to what who knows nothing out there with soul to be honest but i have decided that what ever i do regarding a replacement i will be hanging on to the ZT-T and garage it with a view to restoring it to concours condition.
This being in part due to a car show i went to earlier in the summer where they had some lovely cars that i remembered growing up with, what are every one else's plans anyone else had the same thought regarding these beautifull cars.? Be nice to see what a meet would look like in say 20 years time.

First thing Im gonna do when I ditch my ZT is get a proper car.
Something German, probably an Audi A4 S-Line Avant. Fed up of the utterly shocking build quality of the ZT's. |

I plan to keep mine for as long as possible. I had a good few decades at longbridge. 99% was great with a good bunch a lads. I feel bitter even now at the way management and governments cashed in on us. Yes I know it was buisness but all the same it was our lives. Life goes on as they say so as my personal tribute as I said I want to keep my car for as long as I can. As for the comment said earlier about getting a proper car. I can't type what I think because I'd be banned from the forum.

I'm keeping mine until it either gets written off or goes beyond my abilty to fix it. Hopefully that this will be the last car I own. I'm 70 in 22 years going to try to keep it going till they take my licence away.
It only goes out once or twice a month so theres a good chance on it. The only other car I've felt this way about was my MK1 Granada. That caught fire |

As in Ford Granada ?? Those rectengular building blocks on wheels ? Whow. My father had one of these. It was his first real expensive car. I still have dreams about this car. I was allowed to drive it when I had my driver license. Basicly it was the first car I drove. Ford Granada 2.3 GL Automatic. 6 cyl. Unfortunately that car does not excist anymore. Prince Bernhard or Prince Claus (From The Netherlands )drove one too. Whow. Last edited by revor64; 21st August 2011 at 16:09.. |

Just spent close on a £1000 on mine with service, complete exhaust tyres etc etc. The car owes me nothing and I intend to maintain it to the best of my ability and just enjoy the car, it looks like new, drives a dream and turns heads; what more do you want.

Anglo-German engineered, German engine, German gearbox, German electrics. Yea you go get a German car.. won't be any better than a ZT. Infact most German cars are worse!
