With upwards of 75kgs on the tow ball, and 1200 kgs of 'van weight - I would have thought there may have been a bit of a problem with traction

Let's not be too quick to judge...It could be either:

1/ He's booked his holiday and he's "going on holiday - no matter what!"

2/ He's making his way home from a holiday and has no choice but to deal as best he can with the severe weather conditions he's encountered on his way home.

We don't know...

I reckon respect where respect is due
  1. He's not stuck
  2. He's not in a ditch
  3. He's not doing 90 in a 4x4
  4. He's not doing 7mph in a micra
  5. He's not texting his friends that its well snowy lol
  6. And if he does get stuck he can at least have a brew in comfort

What could be a more British image than that ...unless he was smoking a pipe and wearing tartan slippers. Makes me proud ! Good old Rover, gets to grips with spring weather.

What is stupid about it? I suppose the 'is the journey really necessary' argument has some validity.

On a day when gritters overturn, plane flights are cancelled, trains don't run, 4x4's end up shiny side down, you can rely on a Rover driver to don his flat cap, pull on his driving gloves, button his cardigan and get the caravan hitched for a jolly nice drive out.
