Sat 11 Nano meet
Hi
I have a couple of faults with my 75 at the moment that I would like some help with. First, the orange brake sensor is coming on, not all the time, but most of the time, possible cable damage, discs checked ok? Second, I have the red srs/airbag light coming on too, T4 points to rear centre pre-tensioned, I am happy to change the seat belt assy if I can get the parcel shelf out. I am wondering if anyone would offer their time and investigate these jobs with me at the meet. Matt |

I am sure parcel shelf removal help will not be a problem, if you want to look at the disc cables then there is some hard standing available where you can use a jack. Please post this on the main thread which will get more exposure, I will put your name down as attending main thread here http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=143866

Replacing a rear centre seatbelt to fix a pretensioner airbag warning light fault, that's a good one, did you mention doing this with the person who performed the T4 session.

All options are worth looking at talk to Duncan and the Monk at the nano.it can always be put on the t4 for a second opinion.(simples) As Trebor said put your name down on the main nano thread if you have not already done so

Buy 2 of these plugs http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...rbag+connector Borrow a trox bit from someone at the nano if you do not have one (I should have mine), remove the seat mounting bolts so the seats can be tilted back, and I will fit the new plugs. that will fix the airbag warning fault.

Hi devilish
Thanks for your input and advice, this is the type of reply i was hoping for ! I am pretty sure i soldered all the connections after replacing the seats, as the fault was there with the old seats too. I will do as requested and get some plugs, and we can see how it goes. Matt |

Problem is not your soldering but the type of plugs Rover use, I will have a gas soldering iron and heatshrink tube so you can do them yourself if you want. If you want to do a really good job you could bring 4 connectors and replace the airbag plugs also, they cause airbag warning light faults, but as pre tensioner was diagnosed as the fault, hopefully it will be the pre tensioner plugs.
Doing this in the past for someone with pre tensioner fault after he fitted seats, I discovered the pre tensioners had been fired on the seats he bought. Although you say you had pre tensioner fault beforehand, check to make sure the pre tensioners have not been fired on the seats you fitted. They should look like your old ones and not crumpled up. I have pre tensioners, if they have been fired the seats have to come out. Quote:
