ZTs had stiffer suspension, especially earlier ZTs. Later ones had a slightly softer set up with the stiffer "sports" suspension an option. I had a mk1 1.8T ZT and tended to avoid potholes! They had less soundproofing as well to give them a "sportier" feel.
