Bit of work going on in the museum next door. They built a new engine shed on the old car park, doesn't bother us as you can't see it unless you go right to the gate and stand on the low wall. Today they began transferring the old steam locos and railway wagons from hiding in a non accessible shed at the far end of the museum to the new one which will be accessible to the museum visitors.

The loco in the photo that has just been lifted onto the shed tracks used to run up and down a line in the museum grounds with a guards van giving short trips for visitors. Problem is the guys who did it were all volunteers and had no financial input other than donations from the public. Steam locos are not cheap to run, requiring regular inspections and overhauls, came to the point they didn't have the funds to keep it running.

Ging and I got back about 4pm yesterday, she has slept most of the time since. Girls were hysterical when they saw her Ging got me duty free cigs during her short stopover in Dubai, for 15% of the price in the shops here

What a miserable dark damp day The kamp kommandant wanted to swap the couch in the conservatory for the one in the living room so Billy Muggins here had to struggle on me own
The difference in sizes was weird so she said can I put em back to how they were So an hour later I've got a bad back, Been in a red hot bath to ease the pain with an hot toddy to boot

I've been driving a double header of BR class 31's on cement wagons up the Tee's valley.
Chicken breasts, mashed taters, cabbage & minted peas for tea tonight.

Cool

Collected Banana from the workshop this morning. Then a run into town to send some calendars off. Collected my repeat prescription from the chemist. Then over the border and into England to get a BIG shop from Tesco’s at Lee Mill.
Then home via the Banana juice station.

I was going to wash the cars but it started raining and turned chilly.

Got homemade fish n chips for tea with some melon chunks for dessert.

Might have a rum later, for medicinal purposes. Especially after paying the bill for the repairs on the Yellow One.
