i think you have a wiring problem ,when you unplugged it and plugged it back in it worked so my guess would be a problem around that area .a damaged wire maybe ./i cant look up anything as i have had to instasll a fresh copy of windows as my pc wouldnt do anything ,not even boot up so i lost all my auto data and data tolerance,if the car was ok before fuse change and was the same after then he was just trying to convince tyou he sorted thwe car ,with problems like this over a space of time it wil;l happen again .

yes, I don't think for one minute changing a good fuse is going to make any difference.

Phil: What does fuse F2 control?
Engine bay F2 protects ECM on a diesel, on KV6 and K1.8 it also protects coils and injectors.

Yes, I did have a look. Cheers.
I will go and give it a run later. Hopefully it is fixed. Bit annoyed the AA ripped the fuse out and changed it as any potential analysis has gone so I cannot confirm whether that was causing the problem.

Think he was correct in the first sentence

Surely EP would have shown up on the dash if it was Auto box failure ??

Believe that a poor battery can put EP on, might be worth a charge after repeat start attempts. Would not rule out any basics like checking plenums and ecu for signs of water ingress.

Plenums dry, ep came on whilst driving as it cut out. I will take it out later tonight but im not hopeful. What is most worrying is if it was the fuse it is so unbelievable that im not really going to trust it.
