Assuming the plenum's dry, it usually means a new IPK and T4 work.

Plenum = the area between the two bulkheads under the bonnet/ bottom of windscreen, which can fill with water.

IPK = Instrument PacK / the dials on the dash.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

i suppose its easy to check and drain the plenum if neccisary then? but how does that make the screen stop working?
and i assume if i change the IPK then a t4 will restore it back to what was originally on it?

Try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes and then reconnect. this causes the cars computers to reboot just like restarting home computer.

has been known to work on missing display but wont fix missing pixels.

if you have factory fit sat nav wait until red light on map cd goes out before disconnecting. if no sat nav you will need radio code.

Use the search tab at top right of the front page. Insert key words like 'IPK' or 'plenum' and you'll be busy reading for days. But you'll also learn a lot.
