Cool First hiccup.........................

....................................... Thought it was all going too well. I was under the impression that I could collect the keys to the house but it seems I cannot collect them till the the 11th, and I'm moving out of the flat on the 12th. So now after the van is loaded I have to fly down to the estate agents to get the keys. As the removal lorry will be at the house on the 13th.

They say that house moving is the most stressful thing you will ever have in your life, with the exception of giving birth, and there's no chance of that.
I'm still going down as arranged tomorrow but will come back on Monday instead.
I need a rest. Stressed? Who me? Pass the malt.

On the plus side I have been in contact with various organisations about the change of address. Most I have either phoned or have contacted people by Internet. Only two have I had to write to, both pension companies. Still have to contact the DVLA about my driving licence and car registration. There are a few that can only be contacted on the day I move. But on the plus side, I contacted my car insurance, Lancaster, and told them about change of address.
I got a rebate on all 3 cars. Then the lady said that the company would waive the administration charge, only £30 a car, as I'm a very good customer. So £90 saved and money coming back.

And I have written to all my friends who I cannot contact via email. Typed out a note to put in the envelops and then the printer ran out of ink, so I hand wrote out all the envelopes. I now have writers cramp.

Pass the malt.

Cool All sorted now.

Finally sorted the key issue out. Allen will collect the keys on the 12th. Just me having a panic.

It's finally sinking in now. Cornwall will be my home in 12 days time.

Thank you Brian. I'll send you my address, in case you fancy a day trip. OK, a weekend then.

I have holidayed in Cornwall for over 30 years, spending at least a year in total, and love the place. I am sure you will too. It has a totally different pace of life to anywhere else in England.

Cool 8 days to go .....................

..................................... And I'll be living here permanently, no longer a visitor but a resident. There is still a lot to do before then though. Off to the letting agents today, app 4pm, to pay deposit plus one months rent up front and the last of the administration charges. Allen will collect the keys on my behalf next week

I've had me pasty and cider injections. Gradually learning the lingo. Need to get Cornish flag fitted on the cars.
