Default Rover 75 Conn. SE 1999. Drain holes..

The drain holes on either side of the windscreen seemed blocked. Can these holes be prodded?

Yes.

But more important are the two drain holes at bottom of Plenum ( under plastic grills! These get blocked and can drown your main ECU.

Get them checked ASAP.

There is info on how to on here if you do a search

The upper drains which you refer to are a simple affair and simply drain into the wheel arch behind the liner a 10mm pipe bending spring is a good tool to use but really anything that will fit with reasonable ease is ok it is a round tube with a flattened end.

The drivers side one was fitted with a grommet on later cars due to project drive cost cutting. The tubes themselves can be removed from their position & cleaned. A common mod is to cut off the flattened part of the rubber tube, at the bottom end, prevents further blockages.

Don’t worry too much, your ecu is sealed and should t be harmed if it has been previously wet.

Always better to keep things dry though.
