Default locked out

to cut a long and stupid story short ive accidently locked myself out of my rover 75 saloon.
as bad as days go yesterday was pretty bad. having a funeral to go to forgetting the car was locked via remote, i opened my boot with the key to place my pram in there before getting ready. dropped my keys in .didnt even realise till id shut the boot.
not having much time or knowledge i decided the quickest way was to break the small quarter light on rear passengers door. now had i known the car locks were deadlocked .......
if anyone can please pm me with any info on getting in to the car without further damage i would be very grateful.
i am not with aa rac or any other.
awaiting replies many thanks shaun

you can only do the deadlock via the key normally the button inside is switched off when deadlocked or what would be the point

Hence the warning in the handbook that the car should NEVER be locked with the remote when anybody is left inside.

just follow reebs instruction and you will be in it easily, those who know how to do it find it very handy for getting into a car boot in the scrappers
