With doors deadlocked but electrical systems working, couldn't you press the boot release button, lurch yourself over to the rear and drop down the rear seat backrest. Shimmy over into the boot and push up the lid. ?

How to commit the perfect murder using a Rover
- place the intended victim in the car, remote deadloack the doors, push car into deep water, wait until victim has drowned, remote unlock doors as car is being lifted out-of-water. will appear as victim drowned with doors unlocked and therefore suicide.

I'm not sure that would fool DCI Barnaby for long

make sure the plenums are clear, otherwise the ecu will get wet and remote will not work.

As I said, once i'd managed to get in the car I couldn't get out again. The door handles did lift the latch with one pull but nothing else. It was deadlocked.
I drove home, phoned my lady who opened the boot. The boot release switch was still working so I climbed through to the boot.

You'right, having driven a 75 for so many shows, he would've checked out all the possible criminal applications of the vehicle's system between episodes.

Of course, easy when you know how.
