I have a 75 cdt tourer and I thought exactly the same as you, is the front high or the back low?
And this was after putting new rear springs on,but after taking a few measurements all was as it should be. It does give the impression that the front looks high. As for self leveling not sure how you tell by looking at the rear springs/dampers,some one will be along soon to tell you what to look for

To Identify if You Have Rear Self Levellers (Boge) & Suspension Hieght
Physically if you measure the OD of the rear shock absorber factory fit Boge units measure 48mm OD against 42mm OD for std shockers.
With my Tourer, which is still carrying original factory fitted suspension and self levellers, on a level surface I get a measurement from ground of 28 1/4" to lip of the front wing and 27 1/4" at the rear wing. Not sure about the tolerance of the measurements though, but I would think that +/- 1/4" would be acceptable??? Last edited by Lovel; 6th August 2010 at 09:19.. |

A picture of my tourer taken about a year ago. R75 Tourer 2.5 Auto with self levelling rears. First picture.
http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...t=rear+springs Under the rear seat of all 75s is a label, attached to the metal of the car, giving details of the springs and dampers needed by the car. J indicates self levelling rear suspension. |

The label applies assuming that it still has the OE suspension set up as it left the factory, and that there have been no fingers at work on it.

Perhaps the self leveling rear lifts up the back end to make it level once the engine is running - have you tried that?
