Thumbs up Poorboy's Black Hole Show Glaze

Poorboy's Black Hole Show Glaze, yep never heard of it until my son told me to try it. So I did and was very pleasantly surprised at how easy the application was, my car was in direct sun and the black paint was hot but it still came off very easily and very impressed with the result as I only had time to apply one quick layer. Its not cheap but would recommend it on Black cars, not tested on any other colour yet as its only for Dark cars.

Sounds just the ticket, one question use before you wax and seal, if you have already done this will it be okay to use, just asking.. ....???

I used it over the top of my normal wax, but I think it should work over the top of a seal too, but don't quote me on that as I have not tested it.

Designed to be used before a wax or sealant, but as you say an excellent product and there is White Diamond for lighter coloured cars.

Poorboys Black Hole is very good.

(Or White Diamond https://www.shopnshine.co.uk/poorboys-white-diamond)

An equally good alternative is Britemax Black Max

They should be used before any final wax coating because their job is to "fill" any tiny imperfections. These imperfections are what will reduce the super shiny look when you wax her.

No amount of wax will have any effect on how shiny she becomes IF those imperfections are there. It's to do with how the light is broken up when it hits the surface of the paint. Think of it like looking into a scratched mirror rather than a perfect one.

Happy valeting .

Andy.

I’d been using both Black Hole and White Diamond on previous (*see edit) cars, but when I bought my bright non-metallic red Volvo convertible (Volvo call it ‘Passion Red'!), I had to ask the experts on Detailing World which to use.

The consensus was that any colour that wasn’t actually light was dark, so to use Black Hole. In other words, err on assuming dark.

Edit: apropos nothing, with the letters V and C being next to each other on the keyboard, "previous" very easily becomes "precious". Both could apply to my 75......
