Yes, I've seen the four knob version at a meet once, but they must be quite rare as I don't believe there are any pictures in the brochures showing them

The 4 knob Aircon control was fitted to the Club model. The Club SE got the full climate control.

Default Speaker in drivers footwell above the accelerator pedal

Rover 75 05 Plate Tourer having a major D check and upon removing the trim above the drivers feet uncovered a 3 inch speaker with corresponding grill.

Does anyone know what this speaker is for?

Traffic Master or Smartnav.

Press the console button and normally the female voice will say....

Default New Connie SE owner

Just spent a pleasurable couple of hours reading through this thread, and a big thank you for all the information contained. Started off querying why I’ve no wood trim steering wheel , and with that question answered continued on reading the thread.
Many thanks 👏👏
By the way…..anyone out there got a wood trimmed steering wheel ?

Do you want it with smokestone or sandstone leather?

I'll see what I've got.

My 2002/52 1.8 club se has manual leather seats, but also faux leather rather than brushed fabric cloth on the door cards. Not seen this on other cars. I'm pretty sure it's original. Is that a thing?

Nope, that was never a factory trim option. I suspect a previous owner has had them retrimmed.

Fascinating, thank you. Bought at 60 000 miles with FSH and no other modifications. Never been smoked in and roof lining perfect. Have had front driver and rear passenger door cards off and did not spot any evidence of retrimming. Will look again and take photos. What a great thread this is. Thank you.
