Good morning Bob

Thank you for replying to my question about your walk. Not everyone replies, in fact the member who was in hospital last week is no longer interested in visiting the forum because he felt he was not being listened to and he didn’t get a reply to a question he had made to another member. I add this is not you as you have always been polite and a friend to him.

Had a flu jab booked for 21 October.

It’s great you have a neighbour who likes going walking with you. If you get the chance, check your phone to see how many steps / miles you are walking, as it is another incentive.

Yesterday Jessica and I had a fabulous swim in the sea at Weston Super Mare and later on today we are swimming in the marine lake in Clevedon. Water temperature at 10:30am 22.5C

Are you a swimmer?

Have a great day.

Good morning Steve

How are you, Ging and the girls?

No I don’t swim. I don’t like the smell of chemicals in water in the swimming baths and you cannot always trust what is in sea water. And already having one virus that knocked me for six I don’t really want another one.

We both have the apps on our phones to count our steps. I found out so much about my neighbour on these walks. Like she was originally born in Canada, how she met a husband, so many stories that I love listening to.

Her daughter has encouraged her to get out on our walks and having a walking buddy like me is a bonus. So much so that her daughter has popped in to me to say thank you for helping to get mum out.

We have lots of trips out to go on, I’m even taking her to her first ever visit to a car meet next Sunday at Trevaskis near Camborne.

Hi Phil, been lurking but not posting. Things have been a bit subdued here, lost a very close family friend, Ging took it harder than me, she's lost so many friends and family. Started with my folks, then her own father, a brother and sister in law in a RTA, her other brother in another RTA, a close friend and now another. She's coming home today after spending a couple of days with friends down in the Lakes.

The girls are fine, Pops is still grumpy, Suzy is still laid back and Maya is still nuts!

Sorry to hear of your sad news Steve.

Corned beef hash with home made pickled beetroot for tea tonight. Just started to watch the remastered 1968 Thunderbirds film on YT.

Morning all, wet stuff again here, at least it'll cool the air down, its been very muggy the last few days, we need those thunderstorms that everyone else has had.
