Eventually ok. His opening gambit was 'I'll soon have it fixed' followed by 'he must adjust price for wear & tear.' Can't blame him for trying though.

I have to say John though not a 75 the Astra is a very well made car with a lovely auto box. Should I stumble on a nice 75 tourer deisel in the future I might be tempted.

Be careful what you say fooman re K Series Engine, as the V6 is also a K Series engine. You are in great danger in upsetting all the V6 Fans with your above statement.
Not to worry that you have upset me!!!! as I.m a staunch supporter of the K Series 4 Potters.
Look after them and they will do you proud. Had 3 in a row and never any engine problems.

just like I have been, got me in the end. pick it up Thursday.
sold my vectra could not be happyer
going from a car I dont look at from one week to the other to looking at the water each day. am I

No, you're not You've just been bitten by the 75 bug. It's a serious affliction, but strangely satisfying.
