Default Remote switch for early FBH

Can anyone help me with wiring for early C type FBH ,I can start it by splicing into the wiring going to pin 1 but where does this wire come from if I disconnect this wire will the FBH lose its ability to fire automatically when cold enough or will splicing into run the risk of having 2 x 12V+ feeds into pin 1 .My plan is to have a text operated FBH but would also like it to still operate automatically ,any advice would be appreciated thanks

Don't activate it on pin 1. If the thermoswitch is closed for normal under 5 degree operation, you will send 12v back to the ecu, they don't like this, I found out the hard way. Think pin 4. But check with someone else first

I will have a look under my bonnet if I get chance. I'm activating mine on pin but I took out the thermoswitch after my accident. I'm also activating the blowers via a relay which has its own pin. But can't remember which pin does which.

Pin 3 I believe is the one. Pin 4 is the output to blowers relay activation if required.

Are you sure you have the early type as that will fire up as a supplementary heater via the sensor and alternator feed from pin 3 , leaving pin 1 as the pin to wire your remote to, so the exact opposite to the later B model.

If you do have the early type and pin 1 is already populated has someone before you wired up a remote for it ?

Pin 4 gives out 12vwhen the pcb is running, pin 2 is for diagnostics info, pin 6 is fuel pump, pin 5 not used pin 1 or 3 to trigger heater, hope this helps.TOM.
