The tourer needed a bit of tlc and has been a bit neglected recently (too many cars) it had a new battery earlier in the week so today it's had a service. The old pollen filter was dry which was a good sign and I even had time to give the head lights a clean. The BMW / Rover service tool wouldn't reset the counter as it was showing 8,000 miles still so T4 was dusted off and it's all ready for it's mot shortly, still not got round to removing the rear interior panel to trace its water leak so the nav unit is still not re fitted. Maybe time to upgrade the old high line kit?

Got 4 new tyres fitted yesterday, and seeing as the weather looks good I'll be taking the front nearside wheel off to replace the reverse switch and hopefully get reverse lights and sensors back again...

My first jobs done on the Rover since I got it. EGR valve cleaning and PCV filter replacement. Both were in quite a state!

Fitted a new auto brake pedal rubber. Very complicated operation...
But, I did put a sticky felt pad under the bottom right where it wears the most. Mike |

Did not 'do' anything to the car, but ordered two Pagid front brake flexy hoses. £24. Ordered from carparts4less, and it came from Eurocarparts. Yes I know.

Today I have been dropping a sidelight bulb into the headlamp unit...
Unable to retrieve it, but on close inspection, I can see 3 other bulbs sitting in the bottom too! Looks like I'll have to get the lights off to clear it out - think I'll wait till the bumper gets resprayed though.. Luckily I did manage to get another bulb inserted |

Hi Robin. I presume you also cleaned out the manifold and the MAP sensor, as just cleaning the EGR would not do you much good with the manifold in that condition.
