Morning all from a bright and sunny Midlands.

Clear blue sky and clear blue temperatures .

Guide Dogs Xmas meal yesterday (at The Crown in Four Oaks for any Brummies out there https://www.emberinns.co.uk/national...on-coldfield#/) and I'd happily eat there again. Tasty food, decent portion size and absolutely brilliant serving staff.

No pics I'm afraid - I was far too busy fussing puppies .

Take care everyone.

Thank you about the cooking, I must take after Dad regards the cooking, He was a good cook.
My sister came round yesterday to ask me to have a word with her friends partner about prostate problems as he wont go to see his doctor. She said he's been experiencing the exact same problems as me & is scared & embarrassed about going to get it sorted.
Morning all…. welcome

Morning Ian ……welcome to the day. I like your plan of the gas fire on and a hot water bottle in your chair.

How kind of you to spend time with someone educating them about prostate cancer/prostate gland. I am sure it’s scary but if caught in time, it’s not the death sentence it used to be.

In 1963, my Grandfather in Southern Ireland died from a painful blockage in the bladder. In those days he was a Blacksmith with his own forge but the diagnostics for bladder, the scans and specialist surgery was not available, like it is these days. RIP

Hopefully your sisters friends partner will feel brave enough to face up to getting tested.

I am fairly certain the aneurysm will need to be repaired next year. To be honest it’s something I accept. It will be my 14th operation, the last one nearly killed me, so I count my blessings. All my ops were for mechanical parts repairs. Hopefully no more ops.

A heavy frost last night and no garage, so this morning I ordered a windscreen frost protector to arrive by 1pm tomorrow, made by the AA and not expensive £7.99 (Amazon Prime).

The car does not have the “Quick Clear” heated windshield feature that is often seen in aircraft and Fords.

Today we are staying in as we prepare to close up for the winter Yesterday we had the inside of the car valeted and cleared out the boot. We are handing the car back at the weekend.

Afternoon, I’m not very good the last 2 or days , as yesterday the wife scraped our car more than it was damaged last time as I was thinking about going to town Christmas shopping.
She rang and told me then and said not to go to the town, and today is the 6th year since my dad died and I went to the crematorium and lay some new flowers to him, but after yesterday’s damage and today, I’m a bad state with my thing that makes me very sad

Thanks Phil I'm going round tonight as he only lives a few streets away.
More good news, Just had a call from the Christies Churchill suite at Bolton to arrange that hormone injection I should have had on the 1st December at my local clinic but when I got there they knew nowt about it, She's arranged for me to pick up the hormone injection from the Pharmacy at Bolton hospital on the 13th December & bring it over to them to get it administered.
When she asked which is my GP practice she said OH! that one, it's not the first time they've had trouble with them so shes writing a strongly worded letter to my GP practice over missed appointments. They're the talk of the town as to how bad they are.
