Thumbs up

I was struggling to get my keys cut.
Only bloke who would do it in the Truro and Falmouth area had broken his machine cutting a flip key.
Sooooo, quick investigation, strip down old key, 10mins with a file and thats my old key shafts fitted to my shiny new fobs.
Will get the blanks cut one day, but no rush, this works a treat, and looks the biz.
Thanks Dan, excellent product, just miserable key cutters around my way!!

Well finally got round to having my flip key cut and key cutter said metal was too soft on blade and proceeded to cut straight through. So there is £16 quid down the drain.

The metal is fine, exactly the same blades as you would buy from them.
Heavy handed key cutter is the issue!

I have spare blades here and I've sent you a PM.

I'm not blaming you by the way my friend as everybody else has had theirs done with little to no probs just letting you know what crappy excuse the guy gave me.

As an independent voice and as a Quality Engineer with significant automotive materials and machining experience, there is nothing wrong with the material used on my flip keys (group buy 2 and 3), and the depth of cut is set against a stop, not dependant on any property of the material. The 'locksmith' has made a mistake and is talking sh*t. I'm sure it will be fine in the end...

My local locksmith took 15 minutes carefully setting up and cutting. Amazed that they did them for £5 each, and both worked perfectly first time.

Had mine cut today £10 each and both worked perfect, got them done at a cobblers on Annesley Rd, Hucknall. Jim said they were the best he'd seen in a long time so if anyone wants any keys or cobbling done in the area he's on 01159559198.
