It is a right pain in the bottom! I've resorted to cutting a pair of rigging gloves so that they're fingerless. My fingertips are free to fumble inside her access hole but the rest of my hand is safe from being skinned. The first time I changed a bulb my hand looked like I'd punched a flint wall. It is very badly designed access.

I am a little confused. Is this a difficult job or not? I mean there is a big difference to having to remove the bumper or replace it in 10 seconds without removing the bumper.

Feel the frustration there , couldn't believe I had to take bumper off when one of my xenons blew, replaced the pair am hopefully its a long long long time before I have to change them again !

Lots !
And I didn't even get it fitted..despite having access to a ramp and workshop and a window of 20mins between finishing work and locking up at work.
Took me 2mins to put car up in the air turn the steering remove access panel and remove bulb ... Could I get the ****** back in again , could I heck as like!

Will try again tomorrow whilst also dealing with the aircon problem.

From the high of last week after having the wheels refurbed this ZT has really brought me down to earth with a bump this week

I've got to say no, based on my experience
I was expecting an hours job with what I had read no here, but took longer to get a pair of pliers out for the seized screw on the access panel than change the bulbs

The projector lams may be different though , can't comment on those

I have a facelift ZT with projectors. It takes me a matter of minutes to change a bulb.

Turn wheel to allow access to the flap in the wheel arch lining.

Remove flap, remove rubber cap, remove bulb, replace, back together.

No need to remove the bumper.
