Default Wanted - Expansion tank cap

Hi all had a bit of a scare on new years eve where i think i may have overfilled the bottle by a tad, it leaked a bit of coolant of which i managed to stop.

Ive left it as it is for the moment, but i would like a backup cap with me just encase anything happens in the future.

Does anyone have, or know where i can get one please?

Many thanks

Stuart

P.s. happy late new year all

Part No: ESR1480A Cap-expansion tank pressure
Currently out of stock and NLA at XPart.
None listed either on thepart.com

Would a Ford dealer be able to help?

Ah, just what i was afraid of. Isnt the V6 cap the same or are they different presures?

I could ask a Ford, but i dont know the pressure ratings or anything of the cap to double check?

Right the V6 later model one is Part Number:
ESR1480 Cap-expansion tank pressure £10.64 + VAT
is available from XPart Parts dealers and Rimmers.

As a point of Interest all the models in range, 2.0V6, 2.5V6 Diesel and 1.8, and 1.8T are now all fitted with the above part number,
all earlier part numbers changed to above ESR1480.

I am afraid there is no pressure release rating listed on EPC or RAVE.
I will make further enquiries with colleague at XPart.

Cheers John thats great, ill order the 2.5V6 one just to be on the safe side, just over a tenners better then panicking and a ruined trip if it goes wrong again!

Although i may have words with my local dealer as he said there were not any caps available for the V6 or V8. Mind you, he didnt sound particularly bothered when i spoke on the phone

I'll give rimmers a ring in the morning, they sent my mudflaps pretty damn quick the other day, very impressed!

Thanks

Stu

The expansion tank cap for the V8 is the same part as all other models i.e. as John says ESR1480
