Default A46 from M1 jtn 21a to Newton on Trent

Anyone know the route from the M1 junction 21A to Lincoln via the A46?

Are there many roundabouts that you "need" to stop at? From what I have seen it seems they are either like motorway junctions or under/over passes. The roundabouts seem to be around Lincoln. Using Google and going along the route am I right at thinking about 8 around the West to North outskirts of Lincoln?
Is it a nice uninterrupted run to Lincoln? Towing a caravan I dont want to keep building up a head of steam just to slow down again and then keep repeating

There are four roundabouts on the Newark bypass that get busy at peak times.

oh poo, I've gone to far on the A46. At Winthorpe (North East side on Newark) leave A46 and turn left onto A1133 to Newton on Trent

If you are trying to avoid the A17/A46 junction just off the A1 you can divert on the old road through Coddington village. I use it when in the car.

Iv been on th A46 over th last fortnight. Around Notts and then up past Newark to Lincoln. Its ok, but after 4pm it starts to back up were it goes from dual carriage way to th single carriage road at that time. There is alot worse Around Jun28 on th M62 is back to its old tricks...

I thought it was a lot of dual carriageway, is it single lane?

From the M40 north to just past Newark is mostly dual carriageway, although predictably the roundabouts either have lights or are busy at peak times.
Where are your start and finish points.
