Does that mean all politics or just British. I was going to suggest if they are fed up of Brexit ,to watch CNN News or RT News. I find these channels very informative.

Interestingly, there are some people whose every other post is politically motivated. Yet these are allowed to remain and the people to continue. IMO the forum management let the Genie out of the bottle by allowing an extremely political thread leading up to Brexit and it will continue to prove extremely difficult to put it back in the bottle unless the relevant rule is strictly enforced, which it is not. Perhaps it is time to strictly enforce the rules relating to politics, sex etc. being discussed on the forum or to alter the rules? |

The alterntive of throwing out into the cold those who keep going into the fridge is a perfectly viable option.
The forum management just need to decide one way or the other and then strictly enforce. |

I still think we should have an area where we can discuss anything, password for entry, passwords only given with age verification, it would save the mods so much time trying to moderate the rest of the forum.

That said - the one point I would say is that those that constantly whine and whinge about things not going their way - are the same people that constantly call for a thread to be closed because in their myopic view it has become “political” - which those of us with an ounce of common sense and knowledge of the real world see as a Sensible Discussion - and they see as heresy. |

oh wait ................ Seriously though, I do think there could be a place for it. That way, if you didnt like it, or like the idea of it, you could see which forum it belonged to, and move on by not clicking into it. Of course there will be errors on the way, where people place their comments on political topics into the wrong section, leading it to be moved. Once moved though the offender could of course be shot, like any other dictatorship (which the forum is, and I have stated before, that is not a bad thing!). Again I am jesting about the shooting, a gentle knee capping (that is shot in the knees with an air rifle ) would do. It can be very difficult in the current social climate not to get involved in politics at some point, and as this forum is generally a very social place, with topics outside of cars regularly discussed, I do not see an issue. If people become abusive and offensive, they can be banned, but in my mind, that person would then have exposed themselves to be the anti social one, and not deserving of the social aspect of the forum. That is just my opinion, and it is the correct one, but I know and appreciate that it may not be your correct one. But hey, I wont hold it against you for being wrong
