Now there's a comment that hit the nail on the head.
I'll shut up now

Default Got a LHD mat!

You know what, guys, I had a close look at your mat pics again, and the reason my driver's mat is so un-, eh, pleasant, is that it is most likely a LHD driver mat, but my car is RHD. The passenger one seems to be the correct one but the right one is a misfit.

Does anyone out here now if a passenger mat for an LHD car would fit on my driver's side?

May well do but wouldn't have a drivers heel pad and might foul the pedals as its longer.

Default So what IS it with these carpets then??

So, I was searching high and low for the Ash Grey Rover V8 carpets, and finally did find them, part number EAH001020LNF according to Rimmers (who are out of stock), ordered them and got them today. They are the same (non-fitting) mis-shape as the ones that are in my car already, DESPITE the part number being correct and on the wrapping.

These are not straight on the right, but bent out and much too wide on the bottom, and no, they're also not LHD mats.

I am at a loss, anyone having an idea?

Call Xpart, and ask for Liz.

She's a diamond.

Default Thx

THX all. I ended up getting the ones from Rimmers, although LHD and MG logo'ed, but at 8.51 pounds for a set of four (!) unbeatable.
